The Beauty Skills Academy was established
in 1994 in response to the growing demand for qualified and
competently trained beauty therapists.
We have since gone on to be one of the most recognised and
respected professional training colleges in the industry,

How should I choose the right college?
Now that you are looking for a new and exciting career it is
important that you choose the right college carefully. It is
your big stepping stone to the future and you need to ensure
that your own training is with the most professional and
experienced organisation you can find.
We
realise that it is difficult to make an informed choice when
you are new to a industry and
therefore, here at Beauty Skills Academy we have posed some
useful questions to enable students to decide on the best college for their own needs. After all
as much as you
need to choose the right college, we also need our students
to be totally satisfied and committed to our academy, so
that we can work together to achieve the best possible

Our practical classes offer lots of one-to-one teaching and
normally these are restricted to small numbers. On
practical (salon) days we offer 2 teachers to every group
giving a maximum ratio of one teacher to 8 students. As you
can appreciate, a small class size means greater personal
attention and therefore a higher absorption of knowledge. In
any learning environment, this is ideal.
 Leading Skin care products
We are the only College which offers a wide choice of
products for students to familiarise themselves with. Unlike
other colleges, you will receive training and certificates
from worlds the leading skin care companies whose products
are in use within the top salons in Australia. These
include Thalgo, Dermalogica and Ella Baché, amongst others.
Regular client
day with invaluable practical experience.
We firmly believe in you having a ‘Full
Salon Experience’, as we like to term it. There is
no better way to learn. On Salon day you will: Greet your
client at reception, chat and complete a
client profile discussing concerns they may have about
their skin and treatment; assessing the best
treatment and products for that client; having them changed, comfortable and ready for
Salon.
We firmly believe that this experience makes you
a highly
a competent and confidant therapist, brining you
in firm demand to the Beauty Industry. Many salon owners have
told us that our students stand out ‘head and shoulders’ above the

All our Beauty Therapy Lecturers have a Diploma in Beauty
Therapy and at least a Certificate IV in Workplace Training &
Assessment, and all have extensive experience in the Beauty
Industry.
